Helper will kick off its 22nd annual Christmastown Festival Friday afternoon with the opening of its Christmas Craft Fair from 4 to 8 p.m. in Civic Auditorium.

The sale will continue Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The Lights On Ceremony, in which thousands of Christmas lights along Main Street come on all at once, is set for Friday, Nov. 25 at 6 p.m.

Santa Claus is expected, as usual, to watch the light show. He'll be at the Civic Auditorium.

A Luminary Memorial Ceremony will be conducted at the city cemetery on Nov. 30 at 6:30 p.m.

The annual Electric Light Parade will roll down Main Street on Dec. 2 and 3 beginning at 7 p.m.

Prior to the parade each night, there will be a chili dinner served in the Civic Auditorium from 4 to 7 p.m.

Kids can have breakfast with Santa on Dec. 3 from 9 to 11 a.m.

The festival will conclude with a fireworks show immediately after the parade on Dec. 3.

This year's festival committee includes Mark Montoya, Brenda Deeter, Jodi Mascaro, Kirk Mascaro, Vicki Miller and Kari Richardson.
