WOODSTOCK, ILL./PRICE - After a long, full life, our loving mother and grandmother, Ileene DallaCorte, 91, passed away peacefully on Nov. 4, 2011, at Centegra Hospital in Woodstock, Ill., with family at her side. The last of her generation in the family to return home, she followed her younger brother, Bob, in death by just twelve days.

Ileene was born Aug. 16, 1920, in Fairview, to Ilo Edwin and Ethel F. Allred Brady, the first of five children. Raised in Castle Gate, she attended Carbon High in Price, where she met her high school sweetheart, Bruno DallaCorte. After attending LDS Business College a short time, she and Bruno were married Aug. 12, 1940, in Price. They were sealed for eternity in the Salt Lake Temple on their 50th wedding anniversary.

She lived the first half of her life in Utah. Bruno was transferred by Kaiser Steel to Raton, N.M. in 1967 where they lived for 33 years. She enjoyed playing cards, golfing, sewing, reading and serving as a volunteer at the hospital. After Bruno retired, they enjoyed traveling with family and friends. They returned to Utah in 2000 living at Monte Vista in Roy. Bruno passed in 2004. Ileene then moved to Illinois in 2007 to live near her daughter, Delray, in Crystal Lake.

An active member of the LDS Church, she served in various callings, including Relief Society President. During her life, she only had two jobs and that was being a wife and mother. Keeping the needs of her family foremost in her life was, for her, a rewarding occupation. Her family was her pride and joy, and she loved spending time with them whenever she could.

Many thanks to the wonderful members of the Crystal Lake First Ward and the staff and residents at The Fountains, who watched out for her and helped her to love living in Illinois.

Preceded in death by her parents; husband, Bruno; one sister, LuGene Basso; three brothers, Jerry Dee, Grant and Bob. She is survived by daughters, Brunalene (Larry) Wakley, Roy; Delray (Kent) Palmer, Crystal Lake, Ill; granddaughters, Lorraine (John) Sneddon, Spring, Texas; Lori (Ryan) Shepherd, Layton; Lindsay (Sterling) Jensen, Alexandria, Va.; Ashley (Joshua) Valgardson, Gallup, N.M.; and six great-grandchildren, Seth, Sarah, Charlotte, Rebecca, Andrew and Lydia; also sister-in-law, Betsy DallaCorte, La Habra Heights, Calif., and many loving nieces and nephews.

Funeral service, Saturday, Nov. 12, 2011, at 10 a.m. at Mitchell Funeral Home in Price, Utah. Family will be at Mitchell's Friday evening, Nov. 11, 2011, from 6 - 8 p.m. and also Saturday morning one hour prior to service. Interment, Price City Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Primary Children's Hospital or the LDS Perpetual Education Fund.
