Carbon County's main north-south runway will be one of several facilities to be studied for routine upgrades at Buck Davis Field. The county has called for statements of qualifications for airport engineering services to survey and recommend improvements. The study will include the two runways, aprons, snow removal equipment and building, and master plan updating. Commissioner John Jones, who oversees the airport, said this is part of a regular process to assure aviation safety and will keep the county qualified to receive funds from the Utah Department of Transportation for necessary improvements.
