Paula Lewis and Norma Procarione display the literacy awards they received from Lt. Gov. Olene Walker. The Utah Literacy Summit Award is presented to four recipients annually.

'Amy Owens, the state librarian, highly recommended Paula and Norma for the awards,' noted Mary Bangerter from Walker's special projects unit.

Price library director Procarione pointed out that the success of the literacy program in Carbon County is a team effort.

'We have great support from our library board, the city council and from the school district,' indicated Procarione. 'The library staff is also tremendous. It's a team effort. These awards belong to everyone involved.'
