"Spiggs" was an outdoor enthusiast who shared a passion for guns and carrying on the family trait of gun smithing. He was happiest when he was hunting with his brothers or creating memories with his hunting buddies. Gene graduated from Carbon High School in 1976 and after his career in mining he returned to college where he received his associates from CEU. Gene was a very talented craftsman who loved working alongside his brothers. He loved working with his hands and cleaning the sidewalks for his dear neighbors when it snowed. He was passionate about remote control airplanes. His family was his sunshine and he especially cherished the memories that he shared with his grandchildren.
Gene's family would like to extend a special thanks to Dr. Max Morgan and staff, the EMT's, nurses, doctors and entire staff at Castleview Hospital for taking extra special care of Gene for the past 34 years. Your care was exceptional and everyone always brought great comfort to him. The family would also like to extend their appreciation to John and Carol Tatton, the neighbors and members of the Westwood Ward for always going the extra mile for Gene and his family. We are truly blessed to have such wonderful people in our lives.
