Going 'topless' at PRWID wastewater plant
Workers cut away sections of the 65-foot diameter dome over one of the sewage digesters at the PRWID treatment plant near Wellington. Below, board members Steve Rigby and Gary Harwood flank WaterWorks engineer Cory Christiansen for a look inside when the dome is gone. The removal and replacement of the domes is part of the $1.3 million improvement project at the facility.
