USU Eastern Bread 'n Soup nights resume in November
USU Eastern's 13th annual Bread 'n Soup Nights to benefit the Carbon County Food Bank will begin Nov. 7 and continue on consecutive Mondays until Thanksgiving.
USU Eastern student Amanda Van Wagoner, a native of Mapleton and SUN Center student in charge of the events notes that "because of the way the holidays fall this year, we are only able to offer three nights of Bread /n Soup."
Eastern Utah's dining service staff, under the direction of Becky Archibald, volunteers its time each Monday to create three soups - including one vegetarian offering - with rolls and butter.
Last year, the college's Bread /n Soup Night donated a record high $5,000 to the food bank, making a grand total over 12 years of more than $28,000.
