MONTPELIER, Idaho - Michael John Vouros, 67, passed away on Friday, Sept. 23, 2011.
He was born Aug. 8, 1944 in Price to Gus and Julia Garavaglia Vouros. He attended Carbon High School and Carbon College. He went on to get his Bachelors of Science Degree From the University of Utah in 1968.
Mike moved to the Bear Lake Valley in the early 70's to fulfill his love for the outdoors and dream of being a rancher. In addition to ranching, he also worked for the Union Pacific Railroad and the US Forest Service.
Mike is survived by his daughters, Kari Parry (Gene), Taylorsville; Jamie Vouros, Pocatello, Idaho; Josie Vouros, Afton, Wyo; and son Con Vouros, Montpelier, Idaho. He is also survived by grandchildren, Zach Parry, Sami Parry, and Taylee Vouros.
He was preceded in death by his parents and sisters, Connie Vouros Pratt and Gilda Vouros Campbell. Services will be held at the Montpelier 2nd Ward (585 N. 8th St. Montpelier, ID) on Friday Sept. 30, 2011 at 11 a.m. There will be a visitation from 10 to 10:45 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the American Diabetes Association at www.diabetes.org.
