Fire erupts from a parked car at the East Carbon Medical Clinic Friday shortly before fire fighters arrive. (Below) East Carbon and Sunnyside fire fighters including Gene Madrid, Cody Valdez and Darwin Christensen work to subdue the blaze East Carbon Police Chief Sam Leonard first spotted the blaze at about 8:45 a.m. during his morning patrol. "Once I saw that it was a car fire I began moving the public away as I had no way of knowing just how much fuel the vehicle was carrying," said the chief. Local fire personnel were able to put the blaze down, which originated in the vehicle's front end before any fuel in the tank ignited. Leonard reported that the red passenger vehicle belonged to an employee of the clinic and that the cause of the blaze was still under investigation.
