Going into the region opener with Delta, the Dinos knew it would be one of their toughest games yet. But they were hoping to keep it close. In the first half, they did just that, but in the end the game closed at 41-7, as Carbon took their first loss of the season.

Delta opened with a touchdown on their first two drives of the game. The first quarter ended 14-0. But the Dinos had the ball as the quarter ended and they were able to find the end zone with 8:45 left in the half. Their first score, came on a pass from Dakota Cisneros to Nick Haycock with Tanner Gagnon hitting the extra point.

The Dino defense was able to stop the Rabbits from scoring for the rest of the half and Carbon hit the locker room down only one score.

The second half was all Delta.

Due largely to turnovers, the Rabbits put two scores on the board in the third quarter to make it 28-7. They then put the game out of reach with two more touchdowns in the fourth. The Dinos blocked one of the point after kicks.

Turn overs on interceptions hurt Carbon in the second half of play. The Dinos will now head to North Sanpete for their second region contest of the season. A complete game writeup will be forth coming in Tuesday's edition of the Sun Advocate.
