Vandals using charcoal from a campfire scrawled graffiti on the rock walls of the so-called 'First Panel' in Nine Mile Canyon. The site is one of the archaeological treasures of the canyon, earning its name because it is the first major example of ancient Native American art that drivers encounter on the way from Wellington into the canyon. The site features examples of both Fremont and Ute rock art, including both petroglyphs and pictographs.
