John D. Everett passed away peacefully on Aug. 15, 2011 after a brief battle with cancer.
He was born July 4, 1934 in Avondale, Ariz. He spent most of his life in Arizona except for about ten years he lived in Utah where he and his brothers along with their families helped their father with a cattle ranch for part of that time. He had many fond memories of the time spent with work at the ranch.
He was preceded in death by his father Rudy Everett, mother Allie Everett and his brothers Neal and Kenneth Everett and nephew Richard Everett.
He is survived by his wife Sharon, his daughter Vicki (Brent), sons Tom (Karen), and Kemper and his sister Shirley Williams. He also is survived by four grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, one nephew and seven nieces with their extended families.
He loved and cared for us all. He felt he was a fortunate man to have good friends who were a very important part of his life.
Special thanks is given to our Hospice of the Valley "home team", along with the staff at HOV Thunderbird PCU for the loving care given John with dignity and respect. Donations in John's memory may be sent to Hospice of the Valley, 1510 E. Flower, Phoenix, Ariz., 85014 or a charity of your choice. A special life passes from our sight but remains forever in our hearts.
Do you think the Utah Legislature should increase appropriations for public education in Utah beyond the current legislative trend in the past few years of funding only for growth in student population?
