Josephine Archer, 102, of Salt Lake City, passed away on Thursday, Sept. 1, 2011.
She was born in Castle Gate May 29, 1909, to Mary (Lange) Feado and Santino Feado.
She graduated from Carbon High School, and later married Harold Archer in Helper.
She worked at J.C. Penney in Helper, and later for many years as the secretary to the Helper City Recorder. She was a parishioner at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Helper, until she moved to Salt Lake City, where she was a parishioner at the Cathedral of the Madeleine.
She lived for many years in Salt Lake with her aging mother, Mary Feado (former House Mother at the Holy Cross School for Nursing). Josephine gave many years of service as a volunteer (Pink Lady) at the Salt Lake City Regional Medical Center (formerly Holy Cross Hospital).
Josephine is survived by sister Evelyn Bryant (Salt Lake City); nephew Sandy Bryant and his wife, Elizabeth; great-nephew, Joseph; and great-niece, Charlotte, all of Thousand Oaks, Calif.
There will be a Rosary service at Neil O'Donnell Mortuary in Salt Lake City on Friday, Sept. 9 at 6:00 p.m.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated at the Cathedral of the Madeleine on Saturday, Sept. 10, at 9 a.m. Burial will be in Helper at 12:30 p.m. at the Mountain View Cemetery.
