It's no Sistine Chapel, but the historic gazebo in Helper's Main Street Park gets brush strokes from Mike Fox of the public works department Tuesday in advance of this week's Arts and Music Festival. The annual event gets under way Thursday with the start of the plein air painting competition. At 5 p.m. the Youth Art Exhibition will open in Civic Auditorium followed by the BYU Ballroom Dancers at 6 p.m. The curtain goes up at the Rio Theatre at 8 p.m. for an over-the-top stage adaptation of Alfred Hitchcock's thriller, "The 39 Steps."
