Smith's not involved in ground turkey recall
Smith's Food & Drug Stores is clarifying a press release issued Thursday by the Kroger Co. announcing the Company's Class I voluntary recall of approximately 36 million pounds of fresh and frozen ground turkey products, due to possible contamination from Salmonella Heidelberg.
Smith's stores are not affected in this recall, including stores in Arizona, New Mexico and Las Vegas, Nevada.
Smith's, a division of the Kroger Co., operates 132 stores in seven western states including Arizona, New Mexico, Nevada, Idaho, Montana, Wyoming and Utah. More information at smithsfoodanddrug.com .
