Workers Compensation Fund has honored Power Source Services with the Charles A. Caine Award for Workplace Safety.

Nomination for this award is based off of employers with outstanding safety practices. Power Source Services is one of 14 companies selected for the award this year out of more than 24,000 Utah companies that Workers Compensation Fund serves, and was the top company in the category of Industrial Construction.

Power Source Services, located in Castle Dale, is a union maintenance service contractor for the power plants and refineries. They employ Boilermakers, Pipefitters, Ironworkers, Millwrights, Carpenters, and Laborers and at times have up to 200 employees.

Monty Unsworth, owner, believes that respecting his employees and letting them know that each and every one of them play a vital role in the company's outstanding safety record by watching out for not only themselves, but others around them as well. "Safety is very important to us and we provide our employees with whatever they need to be safe including personal protection equipment, daily safety meetings, and continuing education on safety".
