Carbon District announces administrative changes

Carbon District announced on Wednesday that there would be new leadership at two of its elementary schools.

Seth Allred will leave Sally Mauro Elementary to take the principal's position at Wellington Elementary. Seth Allred is a veteran principal with proven leadership skills. His years and expertise in elementary administration will serve him well at his new position at Wellington Elementary.

The district also announced that Ryan Douglas Maughn will be assigned to Sally Mauro Elementary. Ryan has a Master of Education in Administration and Supervision, as well as, a Master of Education in Special Education.

Maughn comes to the area from Canyon View Middle School in Cedar City where he taught severe/profound students with disabilities. He also was a boys assistant varsity basketball coach for Parowan High School. He has had experience as a youth counselor for Youth Health Associates and also spent a year as a Union Pacific Railroad train conductor.
