The Price American Legion team completed their season as they fell to Tooele 11-1 during a state tournament game in Kearns.

Tyson Damron took to the mound for Price but he did not fare well during his time on the mound, as Tooele scored four runs in the bottom of the first inning. The runs put Price down early in the game and they ultimately proved to be the difference.

The offense for Price was unable to find a rhythm against the team from Tooele and scoring chances were hard to come by.

In the second inning Austin Adderley hit a double to center field that reached the outfield fence. He was able to advance to third base later in the inning but the offense was unable to drive him in.

In the bottom of the second inning, Tooele's offense added six more runs to make the score 10-0.

The Price offense was able to break through on the scoreboard in the fourth inning as Carl Willson walked and later scored on a sacrifice fly by Adderley.

Price almost broke through again in the top of the fifth inning as John Grasso walked and Chris Smith singled.

However they were unable to score any runs despite the players reaching base.

With Tooele leading the game 11-1 and Price unable to score one run in the fifth inning, the game was called due to the 10-run rule.

The Price American Legion team finished with a final record of 11-22. Coach Willie Ellington said the season should not be looked at as a failure, but more as a success.

"I think the season was a success because we finished with a complete team," he said.
