Searching for hot spots after small hospital fire
A Price City fire fighter hoists a heat-sensing device to the roof of Castleview Hospital Tuesday evening. A small fire was reported to be coming out of a stack above the boiler room shortly after 6 p.m. Although it was apparently limited to the chimney, responders wanted to be sure it had not spread. Fire fighters did not have to spray any water in the building. There were no injuries and patients did not have to be evacuated. One visitor to the hospital reported a "chemical smell" was detectable, unlike wood or plastic. The cause of the fire was undetermined Wednesday afternoon.
