PRICE - Marie V. Hancock, 84, passed away in Price on July 16, 2011.
She was born in Berkley County, WV, on Feb. 21, 1927 to Clifford Boyd and Lucy McMillan Boyd. Marie married Wallace Hancock on Sept. 14, 1946, they later divorced.
Marie enjoyed dancing, reading, feeding and watching humming birds, listening to gospel music and watching minister programs on T.V. Her greatest love was her children and grand children and being with them.
Marie is survived by her children: Helen (Rocky) Yates, East Carbon; Joyce VanZant, Price; Carol (Denis) Rohrbaugh, Pennsylvania; Rita (Kevin) Smith, Salt Lake City; Sherry Johnson, Clearfield; and Tony Hancock, Taylorsville; grandchildren: Eddie (Michelle), Ronnie, Jesse, Christine, Sam, Randy (Jodi), Missy (Brian), Dawn (Marc), Amber and Tyler, 13 great-grandchildren, brother: Adrian (Peg) Boyd and sister: Linda (Jim) Eyer both of Pennsylvania.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers: Ray, Bob, Gary, Bill and James, daughter: Virginia, grandson: Rusty, and granddaughter: Billie Jo.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, July 20, 2011 at 11 a.m. at Fausett Mortuary Chapel in Price (680 E. 100 S.) A viewing will be on Wednesday from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. prior to the services. Interment will be in the Cliffview Cemetery in Price. Services are in the care of Fausett Mortuary. Friends and family may sign the guest book and share memories at www.fausettmortuary.com.
