Carbon County Recreation preparing events for Carbon County Fair

Carbon County Recreation's participation has become an integral part of the Carbon County Fair held annually in August at the Fairgrounds. This year will be no different. The recreation staff has a number of activities for adults and children. All of these will be provided for a minimal cost to the participant.

The annual Carbon County Fair Softball Tournament will begin Friday August 12 at 6pm at the fairgrounds ball field complex. The tournament will continue on Saturday as teams compete to be called Carbon County Fair Champions. There will be divisions for men, and coed. The fee for entry is $150. This is a three game guarantee tournament with great prizes for each division. Registration deadline for the tournament is August 10 at 5pm.

CCR will also have its' climbing wall available both Friday and Saturday. This activity is free to the public. There will also be a climbing competition that will begin August 13 at 2 p.m. The climbing competition will cost $5 per participant and there will be prizes for winners in each division.

The Carbon County Fair is going to be a great success this year. Come out and have some fun and win some prizes in the process. All tournament entry money must be paid by August 10 in order to be put on the schedule.
