By CJ McMANUS Sun Advocate reporter
The Castle Valley came together once again for a worthy cause as Carbon County and Carbon County Recreation's Annual Mike Ballard Habitat for Humanity golf scramble was a stunning success. According to Frank Ori of Carbon County Recreation, 32 teams participated in 2011, raising more than $11,000 in honor of H for H.
"We will be taking donations for a few more weeks, as we are hoping to raise around $15,000 total," explained Ori. "The tournament was a great time once again this year, it is so cool to see this community come together and have a good time while promoting a fantastic cause."
Ori and the county thanked everyone who sponsored the event and participated in this year's scramble.
