The Department of Veterans Affairs Salt Lake City health Care System will hold a grand opening for its new Price Outreach Clinic on July 14 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The clinic is at 189 S. 600 West in Price.

The new clinic will serve 600 to 800 veterans in Carbon and Emery Counties. Its purpose is part of Veterans Affairs' efforts to locate clinics closer to rural veterans instead of them having to travel long distances to get primary health care.

It will offer basic primary care and specialty care via telehealth technology. Tours and demonstrations on telehealth will be available the day of the grand opening.

Holly Martin, APRN, will be the primary care provider via tele-medicine.

Matthew Heath, RN, is the on-site case manager and Kelli Knighton is health technician on site.

Specialty care and patient education will also be provided via telemedicine
