By Carbon County Sheriff's Office

Editor:

This letter is written to correct statements made in a previous letter (Letters to the Editor, Purpose Lost, May 31, 2011).

The Carbon County Sheriff's Office has not been and never has been denied access to the Spring Glen Community Center. It shoudl be stated that the Carbon County Sheriff's Office SERT Team inquired about the usage of the building for training purposes. At the time they were informed a fee would be charged to use the facility. Subsequently the Sheriff's Office chose ot to use the facility.

The Sheriff's Office apologizes for any misunderstandings that may have developed or occurred due to previous letters that were not sponsored by the agency.
