Price City Police are investigating a break-in and theft that occurred at Decker's Bicycle last week.

The theft took place sometime late Wednesday night at Decker's Bicycle, 77 E. Main. Dustin Heaton, manager of Decker's, said the theft took place sometime between 9 p.m - 6:30 a.m.

Heaton said he noticed the business had been broken into at 6 a.m. on Thursday morning. After taking inventory and looking around the store, he later called the police at 9:30 a.m.

The burglar(s) broke in through the back door by taking the door off its hinges, Heaton said. When inside, the burglar(s) stole a black We the People BMX Arcade style bike valued at $365. Heaton said the burglar(s) possibly stole a pair of shoes and a t-shirt as well.

Because the business did not have security cameras installed at the time of the incident, no suspect details were available.

The business may have been targeted a few days earlier as Heaton said he noticed some dents on the back door on Sunday, June 19. He notified police of his findings and he said they would patrol the area more often.

Heaton said the break-in was the first Decker's has dealt with. The business is currently working on installing security cameras and should have them up and running soon, Heaton explained.

Anyone with information about the incident can call Price Police at 636-3190 or Decker's Bicycle at 637-0086.
