Over the past two weeks, the Babe Ruth teams have been battling it out to earn the top spot in for the season. In the end on Saturday night it was Emery 2 taking on Rick's Mine Service in a thriller. Rick's outlasted Emery for an 8-7 win and the championship.

Emery 2 has remained undefeated all season and easily earned a chance in the final game. Rick's Mine Service almost didn't make it past Emery 1, but came on late to move on to the championship game.

Emery scored first and put up three before Rick's was able to push a run across. Emery seemed to have the momentum until the fourth when Rick's was able to change the tide with a seven run inning. It looked secure for the Carbon boys, but Emery was not finished and in the final innings clawed their way back into the game. With two outs, in the seventh, Emery pushed the game to within one. But Rick's ended the game with a strike out and got the victory.
