July 3, 1956 ~ June 5, 2011

Blake passed away at his home in Mesquite, Nev., after a long hard struggle with a rare type of cancer. He was born in Clear Creek to Gerald "Jerry" John Wallace and Helen Jean Stagg Wallace. He was raised in Price and graduated from Carbon High School in 1974.

Blake started his work career at the age of 14 in the grocery chain business and worked his way up into store management in which he worked successfully for many years. His grocery business "savy" led to his assignments of turning unproductive stores into profitable ones. He later worked in security in Mesquite, Nev., and was known for his ability to handle difficult situations. He enjoyed hunting deer and elk in the Utah mountains, collecting guns, watching sports and doing puzzles, but his favorite past-time was being a "die-hard" golfer.

Blake was married to Judy Macica of Mesquite, Nev. He especially enjoyed spending time with and teasing Judy's three grandchildren.

Blake is survived by his parents; his wife, Judy; a daughter, Jennifer Wallace, Salt Lake City; a brother, Guy Wallace, Monticello; and a sister, Shaney Henderson, Price.

Memorial services will be held in Mesquite, Nev., and, as Blake requested, his ashes are to be scattered in the Utah mountains that he loved.
