Carbon All-Stars make their mark in Ogden

Gage Bigelow and Hayden Basinger represented Carbon High in the 3A All-star Game at Lindquist Field in Ogden on June 4, 2011. 3A high schools throughout the state were represented and divided into a north and south team. The Carbon All-stars were part of the South team. Gage Bigelow was the starting pitcher and pitched two innings. He shutout the north with 4 strikeouts, no hits, and no runs allowed in his time on the mound. He then played the outfield and made a couple outstanding catches in right field. Hayden Basinger had a couple hits that resulted in 3 RBIs and he added a run of his own for the offensive effort. The South team won 12-4. Bigelow was awarded the Defensive MVP and Basinger was awarded the Offensive MVP for the game.
