Baseball, Softball in Carbon County

On every baseball and softball field throughout the county you will find a game being played almost every night of the week. Babe Ruth, Cal Ripkin and other youth and adult baseball and softball programs are in full swing.

The Babe Ruth league will begin its Carbon Classic tournament this week that will run from May 31 through June 11.

Jarad Lessar smacked the first homer of the regular season for the Babe Ruth League and Robert Penovich hit the first one of the season out in the Ice Breaker tournament.

Families, community volunteers and supporters is what gives Carbon County its rich heritage in baseball. The league and the kids playing want to take the time to say thank-you to all those who come out and watch and also support the baseball and softball programs.
