HELPER - Our loving and caring mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, Lois Marie Pebley White Witte, age 85, passed away peacefully May 27, 2011 at Castleview Hospital in Price.
She was born March 6, 1926 in Ogden to James and Esther Hedin Pebley.
Married Elwood Wallace White in January 1946 and their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Later Married Richard Witte in Milwaukee, WI.
Lois was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. For years she worked as a nurses aide before attending Weber State in Ogden. After graduation she moved to Carbon County where she worked as an LPN in the care centers and at Carbon Hospital in Price.
Lois was a very compassionate person who loved taking care of others.
Survived by her children, Craig (Vicki) White, Minneapolis, Minn; Linda (Richard) Bush, Clinton; Gary White, Alan White, both of Helper, Kelly White and Mary Jane Checketts, Clearfield; two sisters, Frances of Ogden, Betty Kendall, Uintah; 21 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren.
Lois was preceded in death by her parents; son, Kenneth White; two brothers, Kenneth and Clyde Pebley; and sister, Pearl Brian.
Memorial service Friday, June 3, 2011, 1 p.m., at Lois's residence 645 N. Martin Rd, Helper. Arrangements entrusted to Mitchell Funeral Home where friends can share memories of Lois at www.mitchellfuneralhome.net.
