The Carbon High Dinos baseball team fell to Desert Hills 12-3 in the class 3A state tournament.

The Dinos led the game 3-2 after five innings, but a series of errors, walks and hits allowed Desert Hills to blow the game wide open and move on to the semifinals.

For the Dinos, not all hope is lost. With the tournament following a double elimination format, Carbon enters the other side of the bracket with the other one loss teams. In order for Carbon to win the state championship, they must now win four straight games.

The Dinos will face the winner of Cedar/Bear River tomorrow at 1:30 p.m.
