Dave Zaccaria hurls a pitch to open Helper's Cal Ripken Little League season Friday. Zaccara, founder of Tram Electric, was given the honor for his years of support for community activities. Below, trucks and flatbeds loaded with little leaguers stream down the city's Main Street for the opening parade. This year there are ten teams playing in Helper. At the opening ceremony, each player and coach had his or her name read to the crowd at Walter Borla Field.
