PRICE - Joan Coombs, age 66, passed away in Wellington surrounded by loved ones, on May 14, 2011. Joan was born in Price to John Chester and Marie Pierce Houskeeper on Nov. 24, 1944. She married Wesley Virgil Coombs on Oct. 6, 1962 in Wellington. He later passed away on Nov. 5, 1999.
Joan was loved by many, she was a social butterfly who enjoyed and loved all her friends dearly. She enjoyed playing pool on the local leagues. She loved camping and spending time with her family. Her grandchildren brought her so much joy and she loved having them around. She was an avid reader and enjoyed Louie LaMar books.
She is survived by her children: Mickie (William) Mitchell, Castle Dale; Wesley Coombs, Lynnie Coombs, both of Wellington; Jeffrey (Tammy) Coombs, Elmo; 11 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, brothers: Chester (Vivian) Houskeeper, Wellington; Ron (Linda) Houskeeper, Kaysville; Jack Houskeeper, Rick (Gayla) Houskeeper, both of Price; and Rod Houskeeper, Wellington.
She is preceded in death by her husband, parents, and a brother, Bud Ray Houskeeper.
Funeral services will be Saturday, May 21, 2011 at 11 a.m. at the Wellington LDS 4th Ward Chapel. A viewing will be held on Friday from 6 - 8 p.m. at Fausett Mortuary in Price and on Saturday from 9:00 to 10:30 a.m. at the church prior to the services. Interment will be in the Wellington City Cemetery. Services are in the care of Fausett Mortuary.
