Wanting to gather some momentum as they head to post season play, the Lady Dinos buried the Park City Miners 11-1 in the final regular season game up in Park City last Thursday.

Carbon scored in every inning of the game. Kenzie Cave only allowed the Miners two hits all afternoon. The Dino defense was strong, but stumbled in the fourth inning with three errors that allowed Park City to score their only run.

Megan Tubbs came up in the fifth and blasted a grand slam to give Carbon a 10 run lead. They shut down the Miners in the bottom of the frame and the game ended in five. Darrian Smith also contributed a triple in the winning effort.

As of press time it is looking like Carbon will head to Bear River to face North Sanpete. If Bear River loses, which seems unlikely, on Tuesday the host will be Juan Diego. But right now Coach Tony Pinedo and his team are just focusing on the next game.

After a comment that the North Sanpete and Carbon match up could go either way, Pinedo answered emphatically, "Oh no. We are going to win this game. Our girls are playing well and we are excited about the game."
