Sun Advocate sports reporter

Price American Legion coach Willie Ellington wants to get the word out to all interested players that he is taking names for the 2011 Price American Legion baseball team. He has nine players tentatively committed and is looking for more.

Those having birthdays on or after Jan. 1, 1992 can come out for the team, but you must be at least 14 years old. Those interested can contact Ellington at 637-7483.

Tryouts will be held May 9-13 at the Carbon High Field starting at 6 p.m. Play will begin with a tournament here in Price at the USU Eastern Baseball Field.

To help defray the travel and uniform costs, the team will be holding a four person scramble golf tournament as a fundraiser. This tournament will be held May 6 at the Carbon Country Club.

Entry fee is $160 per team and you can enter your team by calling the Carbon Country club pro shop.
