This weekend the Golden Eagles baseball team swept the visiting Colorado Northwestern Community College Spartans in four games. They beat them 8-2 and 6-0 on Friday and on Saturday they won 7-5 and 5-1 to move their record to eight region wins. The home stand was a welcome break from traveling. The previous weekend the Eagles were swept by Western Nevada 7-4, 10-0, 15-6 and 10-2. EU plays at home this weekend against SLCC. This series was scheduled to be in Salt Lake City, but due to weather they switched and played up in Salt Lake earlier in the season.
