EAST CARBON/HARTWELL, Ga - Bonnie J. Rice Jarrett, age 69, passed away on April 15, 2011 at her home in Georgia due to heart complications.
She was born Feb. 19, 1942 in Grand Junction, Colo., to Delong and Ida Rice. Married Charlie J. Reed who died then later married Daniel L. Jarrett.
Bonnie was a supervisor at Fort Benjamin Harrison in Indianapolis, Ind. She was there for several years before moving to Georgia. Bonnie loved to cook and garden and kept an immaculate house. She also played the accordion and had a love for animals particularly Missy her little poodle. She was a loving sister and her sisters referred to her as "Red" and BJ.
Bonnie attended East Carbon High and was the first class to graduate from ECHS in 1960. She went on to attend CEU for two years and majored in business.
She is survived by her two sisters, Deanne Rice, East Carbon; Virginia Rice, Price; and her husband Daniel L. Jarrett, Georgia.
She is preceded in death by her first husband Charlie Reed, her parents Delong and Ida Rice.
Bonnie will be dearly missed by her family and all that knew her.
