MESA, ARIZ. - Evelyn Storrs Funk was born Nov. 11, 1922 in Price. She died Feb. 7, 2011 in Mesa, Ariz.
Evelyn married McClaren John Funk on April 15, 1976 in Elko, Nev. They enjoyed dancing, traveling to Europe and many happy years together.
Evelyn was a kind and loving person at a young age playing piano in Carbon County in a little band with her brother John Paul Storrs for dances in the coal mining camps and Helper.
She was an accomplished pianist, served her country in World War II in the WAC's. She worked as a court reporter for many years in Ogden.
Her parents where Joseph Lewis Storrs and Ruth Carlson; sister Emma Lou (Jim) Stevenson; and brother John Paul (Elaine) Storrs. Survived by nieces Patti Nichols Blake, Karen Klien, Kaye Greenburg, Paulette Willis and Matt Storrs.
We will always remember our loving aunt Evelyn and know she is happily reunited with her husband, family and friends.
Funeral services were held in Mesa, Ariz., and burial was held in Brigham City.
