Tiana Young, Felicia Wayman, Carly Juggert, Jade Powell, Rhiannon Aguayo and Angelica Gomez gather around the supplies they gathered for the Newborn in Needs Program. They are part of the Upward Bound program at USU Eastern. Upward Bound is a federally funded program to help high school students prepare to attend attend college. These students are from families that are low income and target students from 9th to 12th grade that will be first generation to attend college. As a service project they recently teamed up with Newborns in Need to collect newborn clothes, diapers and other baby products. The students spent countless hours organizing, collecting, and making items for local families in need.
