Carbon soccer left stinging after Wasatch puts on scoring clinic in 11-0 loss
The Wasatch Wasps are ranked fourth in 3A in soccer and they put on a show on Friday's soccer region opener against Price.
In the end the score was 11-0 with the Wasps dominating the game.
Carbon was holding their own in the first half of play. They held Wasatch scoreless for over half of the period and were able to take a few shots on goal themselves. At the half it was 3-0.
But in the second half the Dinos wore down and Wasatch took over the game and put eight more in the net to give the Dinos their second loss of the season and start region 10 action at 0-1.
Carbon picked up its first win of the season against Maeser Prep Academy last week. The Dinos have also recorded three ties and one loss.
Carbon will now need to regroup from the loss as they begin to navigate the region 10 schedule.
This week Carbon will have two more games at home. Uintah comes in Monday for a non-region game and that score will be reported Thursday.
Union will faceoff with the Dinos on Wednesday for a region matchup with game time at 4 p.m.
