Linda Silvis and Phil Agee stand beside the signs that will be mounted later this year near mile marker 58 on Highway 10 south of Price. That is the place where Ms. Silvis' late husband, Glenn, was killed in a car-motorcycle collision last year. The signage is being sponsored by the Silvis family and the Veterans of Foreign Wars. Agee, who spearheaded the permitting and fundraising, said he wanted to establish a fitting memorial to Glenn Silvis, who had been decorated with a Purple Heart for wounds sustained in the Vietnam War. Silvis was also active in the local VFW post for years. Agee also said there are plans to put a "living memorial" off to the side of the highway - a small park with a garden of native flowering plants.
