Emery County Sheriff\'s deputies, with assistance from several neighboring law enforcement agencies, chased down and arrested two suspects in connection with an armed robbery at a Green River convenience store Tuesday night.

According to the sheriff\'s department, a caller reported a holdup at the Short Stop store at about 8:30 p.m. The suspects were described as white males wearing black hooded sweatshirts. At least one reportedly was armed with a handgun.

After robbing the store of between $700 and $800, the pair drove off in an older white Toyota passenger car.

Emery County units responded, along with Highway Patrol troopers and Adult Probation and Parole officers. Carbon and Grand counties and Colorado law officers assisted in the attempt to locate the vehicle.

Emery County Deputy Sheriff Shon Roper, with assistance from other deputies, UHP and AP&P pulled the vehicle over on I-70 and made the arrest without incident. The suspects are now in Emery County Jail in Castle Dale.
