PRICE - Clara Emily White Dunn, age 79, passed away Saturday, Feb. 26, 2011. She was the third child born to Henry and LaVell Oldroyd White in Lyman at her home. Clara married Ferral A. Dunn on March 5, 1949 in Lyman. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Manti LDS Temple on Dec. 17, 1964, Ferral passed away Jan. 8, 2003.
She was raised in Lyman and attended school in Wayne county where she graduated from Wayne High School. Clara was an active member of the LDS Chruch where she served in numerous callings, she was especially proud of being a diligent visiting teacher. She will be remembered as an excellent cook, especially her pies and she won numerous blue ribbons and awards for her excellent sewing skills. Her greatest love was her family, and always put them first. She loved traveling to the various activities of all of her grandchildren and made her presence known by cheering like only a grandma could do.
Clara is survived by her children: Terral (Debra) Dunn, Richfield; DeVon (LouAnn) Dunn, Price; Hayden (Mary) Dunn, Hayden, Colo; Kevin (Rita) Dunn, Price; Quinn (Rebecca) Dunn, Pleasant Grove; Darla (Rodney) Lee, Helper; Tav (Janet) Dunn, Fairview; and Tonja (Jeremy) Howa, Austin, Texas; 35 grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren, sister-in-laws, Jenny White, Richfield; and Beatrice White, Salt Lake City; siblings: Bruce (Lorraine) White, Sunset; Charlotte Barney, Richfield; John (Beverly) White, Richfield; Royd White, Draper; Patsy (Gary) Davies, Fillmore; and Nancy White, Snowmass, Colo.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Ferral, two brothers, Arden and Lynn White, brother-in-law, Clem Barney and sister-in-law Lori White, three grandchildren: Christopher, Nicholas, and Kayla.
Funeral services will be Friday, March 4, 2011 at 11 a.m., at the Spring Glen LDS Chapel (1985 W. 4000 N., Spring Glen), A viewing will be held on Thursday, March 3, 2011 from 6-8 p.m. at Fausett Mortuary in Price (680 E. 100 S.) and on Friday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the church prior to the services Interment will be in the Cliffview Cemetery in Price.
