The Carbon High Lady Dinos are moving on to the class 3A semifinals after a double overtime win against Cedar 58-57.

Lady Dino senior Tia Pappas set a new career-high with 33 points as Carbon High outlasted the Cedar Redmen. Pappas, a 90 percent free throw shooter this season, made just 14-of-25 from the line and shot 9-of-27 from the field.

Pappas made a 3-pointer with 12 seconds left in the first overtime that tied the score at 50-50.

With Carbon leading by three in the second overtime, Cedar missed two 3-point attempts in the last 12 seconds but scored a putback as time expired as Carbon prevailed 58-57.

Pappas led the Lady Dinos with 33 points, Sara Potts chipped in seven points and Miranda Averett, Kylee Lessar and Mariah Pollock each finished with six points.

The Lady Dinos move on to the semifinals where they will play Delta, who defeated Hurricane 43-37, today at 2:30 p.m. at the Huntsman Center on the campus of the University of Utah.
