The Lady Dinos have been on cruise control for the last few games. Coach Cami Carlson had been a little worried about over confidence. Carbon found themselves humbled a little in their final game of the season even though they pulled out a win.

Consequently in a very low scoring affair, Carbon prevailed 35-30 over the Wasatch Wasps to go undefeated through Region 10 play.

At home a few weeks before Carbon rolled over Wasatch 55-24. However in Heber, the Lady Dinos could not get their shots to fall and ended the first quarter tied at 7.

The Dinos are used to a fast paced full court game and Wasatch had done their home work and figured out how to disrupt the rhythm with a slowdown strategy that forced the Lady Dinos to play more of a half court game. It seemed to affect their shots and even through the second period it was a struggle. Carbon headed to the locker down 16-14.

In the third the Dinos still could not get their offense rolling, but they shut down the Wasp's offense and took the lead 21-20. The fourth quarter had the most offense of the entire game for both teams but the Dinos out shot the Wasps 14-10 and survived with a five point win.

"You would have thought we lost" said Coach Carlson. "It was a wake up call. When you have such an easy time, sometimes its good to take a loss at this stage, but I think we got the same affect with this win. It brought them back to earth and reminded them we still have a lot to work on this week as we prepare for state."

Only four Lady Dinos scored the entire game. Tia Pappas led the way with 12.

Carbon is scheduled to play Richfield. The Lady Dinos and the Wildcats have the same school colors of blue and white so Carbon is asking their fans to wear black for a black out game similar to what the University of Utah did during last falls football season.
