Melody Anderson receives congratulations from the Carbon District School Board for winning an award from the Utah Science Teachers Association. She is one of just three elementary teachers statewide, to receive a "Outstanding Elementary Teacher Award," from the the association. "I am so honored to receive this award," said Anderson. "Science has always been my favorite subject and I work it into my young students' curriculum any way I can." According to Anderson, who teaches fourth grade at Wellington Elementary, she often uses science information as reading exercise for her students. "If you want to bring more science to young students it can be done," she explained. "You just have to get a little creative."
