PRICE - Donald M. Wagner, age 81, passed away Feb. 6, 2011 at his home in Price.
He was born in Barberton, Ohio on June 2, 1929 the oldest of two sons of Glenn and Mary Miller Wagner.
Married Phyllis Davis on July 21, 1950 in Price; she passed away on Sept. 21, 2001.
Don was a longtime resident of Carbon County where he was a Lieutenant with the Civil Air Patrol. He worked for Utah Power and Light in Price where he retired as a meter reader. Don was a man of many talents who was willing to help anyone in need. For years he worked at the Carbon County School District, JB's of Price and from the specs of paint on his glasses you could tell that he truly loved his painting business.
Don had a wonderful sense of humor and he always enjoyed a good laugh. His greatest enjoyment was his Wendover trips and his daily coffee breaks. He loved to gamble, but his friendships were the greatest jack pots that he ever made. "We love you Dad, rest in peace."
Survived by his daughters, Dot Black, Price, Nedra (Amadeo) Martinez, Carbonville; granddaughter, Karen (Sonny) Basso, great-granddaughters, Destiny and Kaylie Basso, all of Price.
Preceded in death by his parents, wife, daughter, Fawn Joy Wagner; brother, Merlin Wagner; and son-in-law, Ed Black.
Graveside service, Wednesday, Feb. 9, 2011, 12:00 noon at the Cliffview Cemetery in Price. Family will be at Mitchell Funeral Home Wednesday morning from 10:40-11:40 a.m. In memory of Don the family would prefer memorial contributions to the Carbon County Animal Shelter.
