PRICE - Ralph A. Schade, "Gone Fishing" , age 64, passed away peacefully February 2, 2011 with his family by his side after a long illness. Ralph was born in Price to George and Wauneta Schade on Feb. 14, 1946. He married Claudia Gregg, later divorced. Married Marian Edell Duncan on Feb. 14, 1979 at Soldier Summit. Ralph worked as a coal miner, machinist, welder, and a diesel mechanic. He retired from Joy Mining and Machinery. Ralph was a devoted family man with a keen sense of humor. He enjoyed the San Rafael desert, hunting with friends and family in the Utah mountains, fishing, and spending time with his sweetheart at Lake Powell. He was an avid rock hound, a gun collector, and an excellent mechanic. He was known by family and friends as the man who could make any car run like a "scalded dog". His greatest joy was spending time with his children and grandchildren. Whether he was being called "Sparky" by his coworkers or "Uncle Skeeter" by his family, he was loved by all. Ralph leaves behind his wife, Edell; sons Ralph Jr. (Carrol), George (Machele), John (Alexis), David (Manndy), daughter Tammy, and 16 grandchildren; brothers George, Jim, Garold, Jerold, Willie, Carl, Earl, and Brent; sisters Jean, Sandra, and Lynda. Preceded in death by his parents, his twin sister Ruth, sisters Becky and Dorothy, and brother Dick. There will be a family memorial Saturday, Feb. 5th at the Cowboy Country Kitchen in Wellington at 11 a.m.
