Woes continue for Dinos
Friday night was another example of when you are down, its hard to get up. Carbon took on Union at home and took another one on the chin, losing 73-58.
The Dinos opened play with an intensity that got the crowd into the game, but soon their defense was struggling to hold the quicker Cougars and by the first quarter were already down 21-13. The second quarter wasn't much better and a dejected Dino squad headed to the locker room down 47-26.
Carbon did come out with a better second half of play. They out scored Union 33-26 in the final two quarters combined, but the first half deficit was just too big to even make much of a dent in.
It was Derek Young coming the bench and scoring 13 that helped spark the second half scoring effort. Clint Finkbiner was the only started to hit double figures with 15.
A very frustrated Coach Ted Bianco was tight lipped as he headed off the court. "I had nothing to say. There really isn't anything I can say. Until we step up and play some defense...." he said as he headed off shaking his head.
The Dinos will take on ALA at 5:15 p.m. on Tuesday. They have previously beaten ALA this season. Then Carbon plays host to Park City on Friday at 7 p.m.
