BLM, WAPA to hold hearings on power transmission line

The Bureau of Land Management and the Western Area Power Administration are holding open house meetings to seek public comment on an environmental impact statement that will evaluate the potential impacts of constructing the TransWest Express 600-kilovolt direct current transmission line project, which is proposed to cross portions of Colorado, Nevada, Utah, and Wyoming. The following area meetings will be held from 4 - 7 pm at the following locations:

Feb. 2 - Castle Dale Elementary, 195 East 600 North, Castle Dale;

Jan. 25 - Uintah High School, 1880 West 500 North, Vernal;

Feb. 7 - Duchesne High School, 155 West Main Street, Duchesne;

March 9 - Rock Springs High School, 1375 James Drive, Rock Springs, WY
